The government and private business have been urged to induct Mr. Kwesi Pratt Jnr, Managing Editor of Insight, into a proposed "Patriotic Hall of Fame" for his selfless and heroic roles in protecting democracy, freedom and liberty in Ghana.

Mr. Kwame Appiah Boateng (aka : Kwame Mayor), the 2004 CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency in Kumasi, Ashanti Region who made the appeal said Kwesi Pratt Jnr has convinced Ghanaians and the World Community beyond reasonable doubt that he is a patriot and deserves to be inducted into the "Patriotic Hall of Fame¨ he proposed in 2003. Turning to the TV crew who were recently arrested for taking pictures of "Hotel Kufuor", Mr. Boateng said the arrest should not have taken place but urged the Journalists to accept the apology from the Police.

The CPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nhyiaeso Constituency said democracy has come to stay in Ghana, assuring believers of democracy, freedom and liberty that these noble ideas will be protected and defended by any legal means necessary including the utilization of both domestic and international People's Power should tyranny arise !!!. "Hopefully, Ghana will not retreat from democracy, freedom and liberty and there will be no need to resort to domestic and international [People's Power] to restore these universally accepted values", said Boateng. „« * Mr. Boateng said in the aftermath of the arrest of the Journalists, the Committee for Joint Action (CJA) should turn their attention to protecting individual Civil Rights, Freedom and Justice to ensure that the Country does [not] retreat to the past, adding "enough is enough for petroleum Wahala demonstrations. it is time for CJA to fight against injustices and protect democracy".
