Koku Anyidoho Dares The President To Cause The Investigation Or Removal Of Electoral Commissioner Mrs. Charlotte Osei From Office – On That Day, Ghana Will Burn, He Says!
12.12.2017 LISTEN

Today, Monday, 11 December 2017 at around 16:15 hours, I had a moment of opportunity to listen to an interview being granted to Asempa FM radio station by the opposition National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) Deputy General Secretary, Mr Koku Anyidoho.

The host of the political-oriented programme “Ekosii Sen”, Ms Akua Boakyewaah Yiadom, who has taken over from the late Mr Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong a.k.a. KABA, had phoned to Koku Anyidoho to interview him about the recent status development of the Electoral Commission saga.

For the public information, two deputies of the Electoral Commission (EC), Mr Amadu Sulley (in charge of Operations), and Mrs Georgina Amankwaah (in charge of Corporate Services) had early this year accused the Chair of the EC, Mrs Charlotte Osei, of involvement in malfeasances. Both deputies petitioned the President of the Republic, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, about the flagrant corruptions that the Chairperson of the EC has committed which in their knowledge are at variance with the operating rules and policies at the EC.

In their estimation, same committed corrupt practices are in breach of not only her office but also, the 1992 Republican Constitution by which the nation is governed – refer to the Criminal Code Act 1960 (Act 29). In challenge to the deputies’ petition to the President, Mrs Charlotte Osei counter-accused them by divulging certain crimes of unprecedented scale that her accusers themselves had committed.

The crimes levelled against them are already a public knowledge hence needless to state them in this publication but the despicable bravado by Koku Anyidoho as I established today.

Koku Anyidoho who is perceived to use the monikers Margaret Jackson and Nana Akua Tweneboah Koduah, obviously an impersonation making him a He/She, to publish opinion articles on the Ghana internet news portals, especially on Ghanaweb and Modernghana, is the cause of this particular write-up.

In making his views known as regards the EC saga, he asserted it is New Patriotic Party (NPP) that has masterminded and orchestrated the allegations against Mrs Charlotte Osei in their resolutely determined quest to remove her from office to replace her by NPP favourite. He went on to dare His Excellency the President, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, to pursue the course of investigating her and/or removing her from office and Ghana will be in flames. Mrs Charlotte Osei is going nowhere and nobody can remove her from office, he said on authority.

Yes, I totally agree with him that Ghana will be in flames to culminate in some people running away and leaving their sandals behind as once said by the ex-late President Dr Kwame Nkrumah about Ghana chiefs. However, it won’t be caused by the nonsense being spewed by Koku Anyidoho but by the youth rising up against the excesses and corruption in perpetuation by our politicians, traditional chiefs and heads of Civil Services.

What is wrong about the President referring the petitions to the Chief Justice who in turn has appointed a Committee to look into the allegations against Mrs Charlotte Osei and her deputies? Are they not themselves the originators of the allegations? Have they not themselves submitted written evidence and on air accusations against themselves? Was it the President or the NPP that instigated them to come out with their secret evil commissions? Was it the President or the NPP that asked them to commit the crimes they are levelling against themselves?

If the answers to the above questions are a NO, how then can Koku Anyidoho go on air to claim that it is NPP and President Nana Akufo Addo that are seeking to push Mrs Charlotte Osei out of office?

Does the Constitution not state what to do when officials in the capacity of Charlotte Osei’s cause infractions of the rules? Is the President not following same constitutional procedure?

Koku Anyidoho, a political novice and NDC sycophant who thinks he is Mr Somebody is coming out with audacity to threaten the President, NPP and the people of Ghana even when in opposition.

Is it because the NPP are a soft touch? Is it because the President is too weakened by his desire to let the rule of law take its cause no matter how provocative and nonsensical a situation appears and by whom?

Koku Ayidoho kept on saying the Informer newspaper has reported that the President is desirous to remove Charlotte Osei from office hence daring the President as reported above. Presuming the President wants to remove her from office and the Informer newspaper is truthful in their reportage, the presupposing question is, did the President compel Charlotte Osei to commit the crimes she is alleged by her own deputies to have committed?

What is that Informer newspaper and who is its editor? Are the management of the newspaper not aware of the fact the chickens themselves have come home to roost? Are they themselves not haunted by their own ghosts hence running out to inform the public of their crimes committed in seclusion or under the cover darkness? Why should the paper turn round to announce that it is the President who wants Charlotte Osei out knowing very well that they have committed crimes worthy of thorough investigation and if found guilty punished? Has the paper and their management any integrity at all or they are one of the usual rubbish NDC news outlets in Ghana?

I hope Koku Anyidoho will not squeal like a pig the day that any nonsense he starts backfires on him catching him by his balls or the day that the Ghanaian youth will rise en masse in civil disturbance to rescue Ghana from our corrupt leaders both past and present.

Ghanaians will soon be no longer the people of short memory. Ghanaians will soon not be the cowards that fear death. Ghanaians will rise to defend themselves and their rights against the oppression they are suffering under the hands of their own black leaders including toady Koku Anyidoho. That day is not far-off, God willing! And on that day, people like Koku Anyidoho will either run away or go on their knees pleading for mercy. On that day that I love or dread to see, our corrupt politicians, traditional leaders, Heads of Civil Services etc. will experience the people’s power to better understand what is meant by the people’s power.
