Some Widows In Upper West Receive Support From Prayer Centre
07.12.2017 LISTEN

A Wa-based prayer group, 'Freely you have received, Freely you give prayer Centre' has presented cloths to 35 needy widows in the Upper West Region as part of it sacrifice to God and mankind.

The widows who came from difference church dominations were drawn from Wa, and Sing in the Wa Municipality and Ducie and Gurubelle in the Wa East District.

Preaching a sermon before the presentation, Prophet Jackson Nkrumah, Head of the Prayer Group, said it was the wish of the group to support the vulnerable in society and make them happy.

He urged the widows to dedicate their lives to God, saying without sacrifice, they could not follow God.

Prophet Nkrumah said the group would endeavour to support all widows in the Region to encourage them to share some of their challenges in life and enable them fit properly into the society as Christians.

Mr Sylvester Osei, an Elder of the group, advised the widows to always pray for themselves and stop the practice of going to people to pray for them.

He said the practice had contributed to the woes of several widows with some pastors taking advantage of them and plunging them into more difficulties than they expected.

A beneficiary, Madam Prudence Kpimebome, on behalf of the widows expressed appreciation to the group and urged them to continue to support widows in the Region to help reduce their burdens.
