Abuakwa (Ash), June 6, GNA - Osei Kwame, 25, driver's mate, met his untimely death when he fell from a moving vehicle at Abuakwa in the Atwima-Nwabiagya District.
Briefing the GNA at Abuakwa, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) E.A. Akonnor, District Police Commander, said on May 5, this year the deceased who was on board together with other passengers on a vehicle with registration Number BA 856 P operating from Abuakwa to Kumasi fell from the moving vehicle when the door suddenly opened on reaching the Abuakwa Formulation Plant Junction.
He said the mate sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi but died the following day.
ASP Akonnor said the body had since been released to the family for burial while police investigations continue. 6 June 05
