Ho, June 1, GNA - Mr Benjamin Komla Kpodo, Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency has presented 2,587 mathematical sets to candidates of this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Constituency.
He said the gesture was to encourage the candidates to perform well in the upcoming BECE scheduled to start June 5.
The MP said he was expecting 'great success' for the Municipality and urged the pupils to go into the examination 'fully prepared to make Ho proud.'
He stated his commitment to restoring academic glory to the Constituency and pledged to continue to support pupils who needed financial assistance to further their education.
Mr John Kodzo Teku, Ho Municipal Director of Education said Ho was ready for the BECE and urged parents to prepare the candidates psychologically to perform well.
'The teachers have done their parts. The children are ready, but their parents have to prepare them psychologically,' he stated.
Mr Teku said candidates were made up of 1,330 girls and 1,257 boys from 90 public and private schools.
