Modern day Christians Are Gullible - Dr. Lawrence Tetteh

International Evangelist Dr. Lawrence Tetteh has expressed worry over the state of modern day Christians noting that they are ignorant of what God says concerning a particular situation in their lives.

“Modern day Christians do not read. I believe in miracles, I’ve seen miracles and I have been privileged to be used by God to minister miracles in Jesus’ name, but I also think that a lot of people go to church just to look for miracles and they do not read the word of God for themselves.

“I mean the modern Christian is very ignorant of what God say concerning a particular situation and that is why today we have a lot of Christians who are fallible; a lot of people are gullible as they go around and do not understand the basic tenets of the gospel; so we need to inform ourselves … and become doers of the word and not just hearers,” Dr. Tetteh said in an interview with asempanews.com.

The evangelist expressed worry over how a lot of people parade themselves as men of God and bestow on themselves titles like bishops, apostles, prophets, evangelists etc. whereas they are not.

“I am particularly not concerned about titles. Today you’ll notice a lot of people who call themselves apostles, but an apostle is one who has developed evangelism to the point where he has a lot of people serving under him; and has a lot of churches under him,” the founder of the Worldwide Miracle Outreach Ministries explained.

The indicated that fact that one has any revelations, a word of knowledge and word of wisdom does not necessary mean one is a prophet.

He added that overall, whether one is a teacher, pastor, prophet etc the most important thing is that he is committed to doing the work of God.
