President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed Mr Samuel Boakye Appiah as caretaker Chief Executive Officer of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
A letter to that effect signed by the Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Boakye Agyarko, stated that Mr Appiah would act in that capacity until a substantive CEO is approved.
As acting CEO, Mr Appiah will not take decisions that have policy implications until a substantive governing board is in place.
Mr Appiah will replace Mr Robert Dwamena who was appointed by the Mahama administration.
