From IssahAlhassan, Kumasi.
THE FLAGBEARER of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is relishing a government that will be full of ministers, who have the competence and the experience to deliver to the satisfaction of Ghanaians.

An NPP-led administration, according to Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, will be made up of heavy brains, who possess the solutions to the myriad of political and economic challenges confronting this country.

Citing the Member of Parliament for Old Tafo, Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei, as one such leading figures who will play a key role in the government of the NPP, should the party win power.

Nana Addo said Gha

naians could be rest assured that their sufferings will be over once the party assumed power.

The NPP flagbearer had already dropped names such as Alan Kyerematen, Philip Addision and  Boakye Agyarko as some of the people who would form his cabinet

“Just like Presiden

t Kufuor was able to surmount the numerous socio-economic challenges in 2000, when we took over power, the same way we are going to tackle the many challenges that Ghanaians are facing under the incompetent administration of the NDC led by President Mahama,” Nana Addo emphasized.

He noted that the NPP as a party have men of integrity and vision who are into politics to solve problems and not to enrich themselves as is being witnessed under the NDC government.

“I want Ghanaians to have faith and confidence in me and the NPP that we can deliver. We have done it before under President Kufuor and we will do it a

gain,” he said.

Nana Addo whilst addressing the Chiefs and people of the Tafo Community, added that the only people who are not crying of hardship are the few ministers and their cronies who have amassed enough wealth in government.

We are in government to serve not to rule
The NPP flagbearer reiterated his pledge to lead a government that respects the rights of Ghanaians and judiciously use resources available for the development of the country.

He noted that the NPP “is not seeking power to amass wealth and impoverish the people but to serve with diligence and commitment”

Addressing party supporters at Asiwa in the Bosome Freho Constituency as part of his four day tour to the Ashanti Region, Nana Addo also pledged to revive the ailing National Health Insurance Scheme, as well as reintroduce social intervention programmes in agriculture, such as the Mass Spraying Exercise and Fertilizer Subsidy to help increase production of cocoa and other farm produce.
