NDC Youth Of Chiana/paga Constituency To Boycott Parliamentary Primary Election.

We the NDC Youth of the Chiana/Paga constituency wish to state without mincing words that we have resolved to boycott the parliamentary primary elections slated to take place on the 16 of July, 2016.

This decision has been informed not only by the needless and deliberate feet dragging that prevented this constituency from holding its parliamentary primary during the mainstream party primaries calendar but most importantly the inexplicable adjournment that appears to be holding us captive yet still. With this apparent hide and seek how can we even vouch for the sanctity of the new aforementioned date that has been fixed?

It is critical for us to add that if the decision to postpone the primary from the 9th July to the 16th July was to avert any possible rowdy aftermath of the primary that may mar the president's visit to the region then it was a wrong projection. This constituency which has been one of the mainstay constituencies of the NDC has always conducted itself peacefully after every parliamentary primary since 1992.
