Lambussie Karni District Youth Link: A Press Statement Thanking His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama For The Appointment Of Chief Suprintendant Sylvester B.Boyuo (Rtd.) As Security Laison Officer For The Upper West Region

We stand on behalf of the teeming youth of the Lambussie Karni District, to express our profound gratitude to HE President John Dramani Mahama for finding it worthy to appoint an illustrious son of the Lambussie Karni District to play such a crucial role in his government. Our appreciation is further heightened by the fact that, HE by this singular gesture has brought to an end a long period of dark cloud, over appointing a son or daughter from the District to any position. We are happy that HE has not reneged on his promise of all inclusiveness, but has practically demonstrated it. We are therefore fervent in our hopes that HE the president will engage more hands from our District in his government.

As we thank HE the President, we will also like to warmly congratulate C/ Superintendent Sylvester Boyuo (Rtd) for his new designation. We are very much confident that with his worth of experience gathered from his excellent performance in the Ghana police service and more especially, as the former Accra Regional Commander of Police Operations, and with his excellent knowledge of the terrain and social settings in the Upper West, he will bring this chunk of experience to bear in serving his people and Ghana at large.

We are therefore making a passionate appeal to the good people of the Upper West Region to cooperate with the new Regional security liaison officer in the discharge of his duties. As a people, we deem such a cooperation very important, taking cognizance of the rising spade of crime and the wide public outcry of insecurity in the region. We are confident that Chief Superintendent Sylvester Boyuo (Rtd) is well baked for the task and will be able to join hands with all the relevant security agencies in the region, to nib the tide of insecurity in the bud.

Once again, we are most grateful to his Excellency President John Dramani Mahama.
