Saudi Arabia  has promised to Ghana the free use of their excellent training facilities for all the national teams in preparation for major tournaments following a high-powered official state visit by  Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga.

Saudi Arabia made this promise on Sunday when his Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Mossad Bin Abdulaziz, President of Youth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met Ayariga in Riyadh on Sunday morning.

The Prince lauded Ghana for their impressive display to win silver at the just ended Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea after a brave performance which saw them lose 9-8 on penalties.

He indicated that he followed closely Ghana's performance and the development of football in Ghana.

The two leaders discussed collaboration between Ghana and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the area of the development of sports.

The Ghanaian delegation was taken on a tour of sports facilities in Riyadh and the training facilities of the Al Shabab Football Club.

The Prince extended to Ghana the privilege of using their facilities for camping when preparing for tournaments and pledged to work with Ghana in the country's priority areas in sports development.
