The inaugural ceremony of the charity organization “ OBAMA LADIES Club” at the weekend in Bernhausen a suburb in Stuttgart were honored by a strong network of non- governmental organisations with a common goal of promoting the welfare of its members and the vulnerable in the society.

A contigent of Nanahemaa Dokua foundation a London based charity organisation were among others who travelled across mileage to grace the occasion. Other dignitaries were representatives from national and local organisations, churches, traditional leaders, including the Omanhene of Hannover Nana Baffour Awuah, Nana Asuoboapong, Nana Owusu Boateng, Kwahumanhene, Stuttgart, Nanahema Agyeiwaa Okodie, Mr Alexander Anane Okai, Chairperson of Ghana Union, Stuttgart, Mr Agyemang Badu, Chairman Old Timers Club -Stuttgart, Mr Addai Owusu, Preisdent B/A Union Stuttgart, Mrs Mawusi Forson, Ewe Union, Stuttgart, Mr Kwasi Yeboah, Youngsters club Stuttgart, as well as Nii Kpakpo who headed the Ga Union delegates in Stuttgart.

In her key note Mrs Patience Adinkrah the founder and president of Obama Ladies Club stated emphatically that the organisation has no political inclinations with the sitting president of the United States of America, His Excellency Barack Obama and as that not seeking to be an advocate of USA.

However, Mrs Adinkra made a point blank disclosure that Mr Obama has brighten the image of the Black race serving a second term as the first black president of the United State of America. Mr Obama´s slogan prior to his nomination and before the election “Yes we can make a change” has a dynamism that enchants the hearts of his followers both at home and abroad.

“ Initially, we wanted to have a structured organisation that can withstand any storm, hence members after brain storming, agreed that “a Can-do Spirit and Perseverance” are the essential motivated ingredients that would help to accomplish our goals, therefore Obama Ladies were considered as the maiden name for the club” Mrs Adinkra explained in details.

Obama Ladies club was formed last year in Stuttgart with a slogan “Yes we Can and Yes we Care”. Its main objective is to foster mutual solidarity and peace among themselves. An external charitable project in their concept is to promote the welfare of the needy children in Ghana, West Africa as well as focusing on girl-child education, etc.

FUND RAISING FOR THE VULNERABLE ONES IN SOCIETY
The inaugural ceremony captured a different groovy section all together as Mrs Agatha Hammond (Church mother of Holy life International, Stuttgart) were introduced to raise funds in aid to the selective poorer ones in Ghana. Mrs Hammond brought in front of the audience more than ten Outspoken- Community leaders into her captivity and she summoned their members to pay a ransom in other to bail them out. After that wonderful dramatic scene, a huge amount was realized as a contribution towards a better welfare of those in need.

Mr Music Man, alias DJ. Badu brought the huge audience into trance with a combination of old Highlife and mainstream Hip-life tunes. Whlist the Oldies among them were struggling with every movement of the old dried bones, the youth on the other hand thrilled themselves skillfully demonstrating the modern Akayida and Azonto dance in its finest.

“ If Africans are encourage to take active interest in social concern issues like today´s event, things might had improve better. We have to put egocentrism, partisan politics, as well as resentments aside and in collective approach focus on long term solutions of our uncountable problems.” Mr Agyemang Badu, Chairperson of Oldtimers Association in Stuttgart commented after the ceremony.

Africa, specifically, Ghana is endowed with quality natural resources, but due to mismanagement, poor infrastructure and series of corruptible scandals most of her inhabitants are suffering from hunger and starvation. African Women and children are under constant victimization, poverty and calamities. Taking the tragic incidents in Nigeria as an example whereby more than 220 school girls have been abducted by a group known as Boko Haram, leaving their parents in helpless and psychological traumatic realm. Is that not a failure from our leaders?

It should be our duty and burning desire to organize ourselves as part of the solutions but not waiting for the politicians alone delving for solutions. The fact of the matter is that African governmental bodies have failed their people and the nations Socio-economic structures are virtually at the edge of total collapse. Quite recently, the UN has sent a vehement warning to our leaders as horrors continue to unfold the whole continent. There are reports of corruptible financial scandals causing insurgents to raise Arms against those in control. Leaders of African governmental bodies are living a life of false pretends, giving unachievable campaign promises to materialize their evil wish. They don´t care about us, period. Therefore we have to encourage such initiatives by Non Governmental Organisations (NGO´s) drawing solid organisational structures to combat our unresolved problems.

Kudos goes to the strong husbands (Patrons) behind the Obama Ladies, especially Staff Sergeant Akwasi Adinkrah of the US Army based in Germany, the media representatives including Mr Yaw Debrah, a renounce moderator of Radio Africa Stuttgart, the youth squad in general, for their unceasing effort making the inaugural ceremony classic of its kind.
