The snow after several hours dumped white powder or flurries on the ground that made the roads slippery and difficult for driving.

Usually when the white powder falls vehicles get slithering and sliding which throws cars into ditches that makes all to look for possible eventualities or casualties and provide the needed assistance victims will need to survive the scare.

As the snow storm crippled Toronto, multti-vehicle crashes were recorded which claimed lives of two persons.

By the evening after the snow has tapered off, more than 220 departing and 180 arriving flights from and to Pearson International Airportin Mississauga in Greater Toronto Area [GTA], were cancelled.

At the time of filing this story around 4:35p.m on March 13, 2014 a day after the storm, all roads in the city had been cleared for safe driving but extreme cold weather alert still in place.
