Ghana Music Awards Always Unfair To The Gospel Songs And Gospel Artists

Ghana Music Awards Always Unfair To The Gospel Songs And Gospel Artists
26.03.2013 LISTEN

I don't know how Ghana music awards nominations is done, but I think the general public should be allowed to nominate the various artists for the categories.

There is one thing I have noticed about the Ghana Music awards nominations that I think Ghanaians should also come out to condemn. Looking at the nominations below, you could realise that the music Awards is solely focusing on the Hip life artist and not mostly interested in the Gospel artist.

I can confidently say that the organizers have given high priority to the Hip Life, looking at the Artist of the year you could see that only one Gospel Artist was nominated as against five hip life stars. Also when you look at the Song of the year, you can also testify that only one Gospel song was nominated as against seven hip life stars.

The awards committee are not being fair to the gospel artists and songs in the above categories for the past years. I believe they should have nominated not less than two Gospel songs to compete in the Song of the year and also in the artists of the year.

Also are they telling Ghanaians that we don't have enough gospel artists in Ghana? Why should Hip life song of the year take 10 nominees and Gospel song of the year to take only 5 nominees? There is a big question to ask the organizers?

From the look of things I will be very surprise if the song of the year and the artists of the years awards gs to our gospel nominees. In reality, they deserve it.
