The sole People's National Convention Member of Parliament and three other Independent MPs have decided to do business with the NDC Majority in Parliament.
Joy FM's parliamentary correspondent Elton John Brobbey confirmed that PNC's Alhassan Azong representing the Builsa South constituency, Joseph Kwadwo Ofori of Akan constituency, Paul Derugubaa of Jirapa constituency, and Alhassan Dahamani of Tamale North constituency have made known their intention to pitch camp with the ruling party in the House.
The four MPs had come under intense pressure from the Minority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu to state on which side of the House they would want to affiliate with.
The Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho, our correspondent said, read out a communiqué issued to him by the Clerk of Parliament which indicated the stance taken by MPs.
Elton Brobbey reported that the Speaker of Parliament has also been acting as the Chairman of the Selection Committee deciding on the membership that would constitute Committee on Government Business as well as Appointment Committee.
The Appointment Committee is expected to start vetting ministers and other government appointees by next week, he gathered.
