Massive Fraud Hits Glo 'Biiiiiiiiiig 5' Promo
29.12.2012 LISTEN

As a courtesy to a professional colleague, Ekow Quarcoo, I attended a meeting at the Glo Head-office around STC in Accra on Friday, the 28th of December 2012.

After the usual rigmarole, they admitted to a 'misunderstanding.'

I told them that what they did was plain fraud, because they hid things from me before a sale.

They then dragged one of their Marketing guys, an Asian, obviously with the intent to dazzle some illiterate, backward African with laptop and spreadsheet figures.

They even set up a Beamer – unfortunately for them, their light went off, depriving them of their self-masturbatory stunts.

I asked for and received a bunch of the Fraudulent BIG 5 Promo.

I then asked the Asian where on the pamphlet I could find the details he showed me on his laptop.

He was askance.
I told them that I felt abused and insulted by their antics.

I totally resent being treated like an imbecile.
Why should something be displayed and sold to me in Kasoa while the details are hidden on the harddisk of an Asian Marketing guy in Accra?

It was at this junction that a bloated idiot (I am being charitable here) took it upon himself to aspire to impress his white bosses.

He started by embarking on an completely stupid hair-splitting rhetoric. I seethed with rage.

His arrogant mien and total absence of manners and sense put me off totally.

I told the man that invited me that he should continue the discussion with the 'lawyer,' and I walked out.

Following this, I sent the following letter to them.

Glo Customer Service:
Just in case your 'lawyer' with bloated ego and very bad manners forgot his law, I provide below a definition of what the law says on FRAUD:

“Fraud, in law, general term for any instance in which one party deceives or takes unfair advantage of another. Any means used by one person to deceive another may be defined as fraud. For example, if a person represents himself or herself as the agent of a business with which he or she is unconnected and causes another to make a contract to the other party's disadvantage or injury, the first party is guilty of fraud.

Furthermore, if, in making a contract, a person obtains an unjust advantage because of the youth, defective mental capacity, or intoxicated condition of the other party to the contract, he or she is guilty of fraud.

In equity, fraud includes any act, omission, or concealment, involving a breach of legal or equitable duty or trust, which results in disadvantage or injury to another.”

You DEFRAUDED me, together with thousands of innocent, trusting customers, plain and simple.

Rather than admit to your fault, made amends and let everybody move on with his life, you rather embark on mindless, time-wasting and totally useless PR stunts.

Who is interested to meet your top guns, or do you imagine that I don't have better employment for my time than to come and admire your fanciful board room?

Tchaah!
You badly mis-calculated if you expected me to be impressed by the stupid spreadsheet your Asian guy showed to me.

Get it into your head that you can concealed (on your laptop disk) pertinent to what you sold to me, only to show it to me in the inner sanctum of your head-office.

Sorry, but I am not impressed, and next time you guys cooked those types of stupid PR gimmicks up, kindly go and hug one of your transmitters before you involve me.

I have resumed my media attack on you and will not relent until you successfully FULLY address the three demands I made:

1. A letter of Apology
2. A Refund of my ten Ghana cedis
3. A withdrawal of the fraudulent promo
I am not interested in using any of your services ever again, so I want my money in CASH. You can do whatever you like with the credit you said you put on my former number with you; I'm not interested!

I repeat that you already make enough money without swindling people.

It is your call.
