On behalf of the Interim Executives, and the Chairman of the NDC Amsterdam branch, l would like to first of all thank you for coming to honor a the loss of our Late President John Evans Atta-Mills whose sudden death occurred on the 24th July 2012.

Ghana and the world at large awoken to the news that sent shockwaves to the homes of Ghanaians far and near. President John Atta Mills also known by many as Asumdwehene - (for those that don't speak nor understand the Akan language of Ghana l advice you all make a Ghanaian friend today so he or she can help translate this to you ), Asumdwehene was a man that worked relentlessly to ensure that peace prevailed in Ghana. He helped pioneer many notable initiatives in Ghana , many of which, if l would want to talk about ,would not allow the other speakers here today the chance to speak. Again make a Ghanaian friend if you don't have any yet, to learn about the good deeds of our Late President John Evans Atta-Mills.

May his life shared with millions of Ghanaians as well as non-Ghanaians be remembered as one that Cared, as one that was very forgiving and above all as one that gave his life for peace.

Let us celebrate his life and his legacy by ensuring that we live as one people with a common cause that brings us the dignity and pride for being Ghanaian. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have lost a great man, a great leader , and with a heavy laden heart l would end here by saying..

Asumdweahene Dem me ri fa duea Dem me ri fa duea Dem me ri fa duea

Thank you. Me Da Mu Asi !!
