Accra, July 25, GNA - The Progressive People's Party (PPP) has learnt with a heavy heart the sudden and untimely death of President of Ghana, Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
A statement signed by Mr Kofi Asamoah-Siaw National Secretary of the party, copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday, said“ the PPP wishes to convey its heartfelt condolences to the people of Ghana, the National Democratic Congress, the wife and family of the former President.
We urge all Ghanaians to remain calm and circumspect in these trying movements in our national life.”
The PPP pledged to support and cooperate with the new President John Dramani Mahama.
