Effiduase (Ash), July 12, GNA – The out-going Sekyere-East District Education Director, Mr Michael Wiredu-Kusi, has appealed to teachers to show passion and commitment towards the job they are doing.
He said they should avoid negative tendencies such as lateness and absenteeism that tend to adversely affect the classroom work.
He was speaking at a send-off party held for him after retiring from the Ghana Education Service after 37 years of dedicated service at Effiduase.
He said there could not be more satisfaction for a teacher than to see his or her students pass their examination and become successful in life.
He also advised them not to use the classroom for partisan politics.
Mr Joseph Kwabena Onyinah, the Ashanti Regional Director of Education, commended Mr Wiredu-Kusi for his hard work and exemplary leadership that helped to improve the academic performance pupils in the area.
