NPP strategising to displace NDC -Cecilia Dapaah

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, Mrs. Cecilia Dapaah, has called for support for 'Listening Tour' of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, to enable the party ready itself adequately for the electoral battle in 2012.

Mrs. Dapaah, a member of the national campaign team of the NPP, told The Chronicle that the party was on the ground and strategically placing itself closer to the electorate.

Answering a question as to the readiness of the NPP to wrestle power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, the former Works, Housing and Water Resource Minister under the Kufuor administration indicated that the party was getting ground forces to unleash catastrophic strategies to displace the NDC.

According to her, the task of unseating the Atta Mills-led government had been made easier by its abysmal performance since January 2009.

She, therefore, urged the party's following to join forces and put in maximum efforts at selling the flagbearer.

Mrs. Dapaah indicated that effective campaigning was not the preserve of members of campaign teams at the various levels alone, and called on the rank and file of the party to ensure that party structures at the constituency, regional and national levels work effectively.

The Bantama MP also called for prayers for divine intervention for the NPP to redeem   Ghanaians from the present hardship of the NDC's bad policies.
