A duster seller who literary castrated his colleague during a fight has been fined GH¢100 by a Kumasi Circuit Court.

Patrick Mensah was in addition ordered to pay GH¢1,000 compensation to Mr Kofi Anin, the complainant.

Mensah who pleaded guilty would serve two years imprisonment in default of the fine and compensation.

Meanwhile, Anin has successfully undergone a corrective surgery at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector Philip Bebli told the court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Amo-Yartey Anin and Mensah sell car dusters at Abrepo Junction near Bantama in Kumasi.

He said sometime in January this year, Anin, who was dealing in second hand T-shirts approached Mensah for assistance to sell car duster since sales in the second hand clothing had declined.

The prosecution said Mensah assisted Ahin for sometime but competition between them became keen which generated tension leading to a misunderstanding at the least provocation.

Police Inspector Bebli said during the morning of January 9, this year, a fight ensued between them but they were separated by other traders, but Mensah who was not satisfied, pounced on Anin and in the process pulled his scrotum until his testicles came out.

He said a report was made to Suame Police who issued a police medical form to Ahin to seek medical attention and after investigations Mensah was charged with the offence.
