Unit Committee members at Kwano, near Suhum, have arrested Issa Amuzu, believed to be among a gang of thugs who killed one Ebenezer Akornotey, a store keeper at Kwano, last year.

Narrating the story to the GNA, the Gyasehene of Kwano, Nana Kwabena Addo, said Amuzu currently in police cells lives at Kwano.

He said on March eight, Amuzu bought cigarette from one Kwabena Gyamfi in the night and left for his home.

The Gyasehene said about an hour later, Amuzu went back to knock at the door of Gyamfi, who was by then asleep.

He said when Gyamfi opened the door Amuzu suddenly attacked him and hit his head with a stone, which made him to fall.

Nana Addo said immediately, some unidentified colleagues of Amuzu rushed on Gyamfi but he managed to raise the alarm and the intruders managed to ran away.

He said Amuzu, who left his sandals behind, was later traced and arrested.

In December last year, a 52-year-old store keeper, Ebenezer Akornotey, was murdered in his room and later dragged to a nearby cocoa farm after some unidentified men went to his house in the night to buy cigarette.
