Nana Addo-Aikins, a legal practitioner,has asked Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo on his appointment as the Eastern Regional Minister to ensure that the challenges confronting the Region such as ethnicity and over-politicization of issues were resolved.
He also urged Mr Samuel Atta Akyea ,the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa to cooperate with the Minister in order to develop the Abuakwa constituency.
In a statement issued on Friday Nana Addo-Aikins congratulated Ofosu-Ampofo on his appointment as the Eastern Regional Minister.
In addition he said the cadres of the Provisional National Defence Council (PNDC) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would require some recognition for their immense contribution and sacrifices to the party.
“With open door policy, the Minister stood in the position of running an effective regional administration” Mr Addo-Aikins said .
