The World Federation of Consuls, which is made up of Consul-Generals in Ghana have decorated President J.A.Kufuor with highest honour of the Federation, the Order of the Gold Star, at a ceremony at the Office of the President at the Castle Osu, Accra.
The decoration which was made of gold medalions and a sash was made by the President of the Ghana Chapter of the Federation after a citation was read by its Vice President.
In the citation, the Federation said they were honouring President Kufuor 'for his excellent and continuous support for the Consuls Community in Ghana' and 'for his contribution towards peace in the sub-region and Africa at large.'
