An eight-member delegation from the Chartered Institute of Marketing on Wednesday, paid a courtesy call on the Director-General of the G.B.C., William Ampem-Darko to formally introduce the Institute's new Executive Council to him.
The President of the Institute, Mrs. Josephine Okutu, said as a professional body, it deems it necessary to collaborate with the Corporation in promoting business in the country.
She disclosed that the marketing bill which is currently before the Attorney-General Department when passed, will give the institute the legal mandate and recognition as a professional body to operate in the country effectively.
Mr.Ampem-Darko on his part said GBC currently combines public service broadcasting with commercial activities saying that the Corporation will collaborate with the Institute.
