Nduom – I am not resigning from government

By myjoyonline

The Minister for Public Sector Reform, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom has denied reports suggesting that he is planning to resign from the NPP government.

The Independent, a private newspaper in Accra reported on Monday that the Minister who is also the Convention People's Party's MP for Komenda- Edina-Eguafo-Abirem constituency told a media encounter on Friday that he has plans to disengage himself from the NPP administration.

According to the paper, the Minister said his decision which he has already communicated to the President is based on the principle of conflict of interest that seemed to be deepening as campaigning for the 2008 elections draw closer.

But in a telephone interview with Joy News' Elvis Kwashie, Dr. Nduom, who is in Rome where he is doing government business, the matter of his resignation was not discussed during his encounter with journalists.

Details soon.
