Government has responded to public feedback received since launching a new online platform to track major infrastructure projects in the country.

In a statement dated April 12, the Technical Team behind the Performance Tracker acknowledged the "remarkable interest and scrutiny" shown by Ghanaians.

"This level of engagement demonstrates the public's commitment to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the information provided," the team said.

They revealed that within 48 hours of the launch, citizens' feedback led to the correction of "67 entries which were erroneously included".

The technical team added: "Our attention has also been drawn to some 74 projects which should have been included as they had been concluded by June 2023. These have also been included."

President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia launched the online platform on April 10, to increase transparency around key initiatives like roads, bridges, schools and health facilities.

As part of this effort, it allows real-time monitoring of developments via photos, videos and data visualisations.

The technical team assured: "As announced at the launch, the tracker is being continuously updated to provide a live and accurate record of the performance of the Government of Ghana."
