Renowned Ghanaian pastor and international evangelist, Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, has criticized the practice of pastors prophesying about presidential elections on their pulpits.

Speaking on TV3's ‘The Day Show’, Dr. Tetteh expressed his disapproval of pastors involving themselves in political matters, particularly by making predictions about presidential outcomes.

During the interview, Dr. Tetteh emphasized his opposition to this practice, stating firmly, "I am totally against pastors who will stand on their pulpit and declare who is going to become a President."

According to him, it is important for pastors to refrain from making political declarations and predictions, emphasizing that their primary role should be focused on spiritual matters.

Dr. Tetteh also made it clear that he personally has no political ambitions, affirming that he feels sympathy for political leaders due to the challenges they face.

The issue of pastors making predictions about presidential elections has been a topic of debate in Ghanaian society, often sparking controversy and division.

However, Dr. Tetteh emphasized that pastors should steer clear of such activities and instead prioritize preaching the gospel and providing spiritual guidance to their congregations.
