Students of Agona Swedru based Holywell International School has Friday exhibited cultural talents as part of activities to mark 67th Independence Day Anniversary under the theme: Exploring Ghanaian Folklore and Legends.

The entire event showcased an extraordinary array of talents and activities, leaving an indelible mark on the heart of parents and audience who trooped to the school premises to cheer the students.

They delved into captivating world of history, bringing to life the rich cultural heritage and traditions that have shaped Ghana's image through drama, cultural dance, Ghnanaian proverbs and folktales to the admiration of the audience.

There was also quiz on history of Ghana, various tribes in the country and process that ended Ghana's Independence struggle.

The students were groups into sections made up of Red to represent the Blood of the forefathers, Green to represent Ghana's Forest and Vegetation, Yellow to represent Ghana's Natural resources and Blue to represent the Atlantic Ocean at the southern coast of Ghana.

Each performance, whether on stage or behind the scenes was a testimony to their creativity, teamwork and dedication. The energy and passion exhibited throughout the day were contagious, creating an atmosphere of celebration and unity.

Later in his address, the General Supervisor of Holywell International School, Mr. Emmanuel Oheneba Tawiah acknowledged the vibrant talents displayed by every single student adding that each performance was superb and well crafted by the performers in the various categories.

" I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all teachers, parents and staff who worked tirelessly to make the Cultural Day Celebration an extraordinary success.

Your unwavering support and commitment have played and instrumental role in nurturing the talents of our students and promoting the appreciation of Ghanaian folklore and legends.

Then again I want to congratulate every student who participated in this memorable Day in the History of Ghana our Motherland. Your commitment to excellence and your eagerness to explore the depths of our cultural heritage have demonstrated the true culture of Ghana and how talented you performed them,"

The General Supervisor further noted that the Cultural Day Celebration was to give the students the opportunity to exhibited their God-giving talents and also lauded parents for allowing their kids to show what they were capable of doing outside classroom.

" In Holywell International School, our motto is 'Every Child Matters ' so we give every student the chance to showcase his or her own skills in both academics and extra curricular activities so that they become self-sufficient after leaving the walls of the school," the General Supervisor stated.
