The Member of Parliament for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency and Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Caucus in Ghana's Parliament, Alhaji Yussif Sulemana (Ori) has joined many well-meaning Ghanaians to condemn in no uncertain terms the uncontrolled political comments made by Hon. K.T. Hammond acting on behalf of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia at year's Maulid.

He said Dr. Bawumia and his team who attended the 100th Anniversary of the establishment of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana failed to recognize the solemnity of the occasion and proceeded with political pronouncement to the obvious dismay of many.

In a press statement exclusively copied to this reporter, the Veteran legislator whilst condemning the poor judgement of Dr. Buwumia's team who hijacked the dais, applauded the Head of the mission, Alhaji Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih for taking the necessary steps to preserve the sanctity of such an important religious event.

"Maulvi Bin Salih displayed proactive leadership by addressing this lapse in judgment, stating that the Ahmadiyya Muslim community completely disavows the statement made by Hon. K.T. Hammond, attributing it to his personal political aspirations," he reiterated.

The MP who is a Member of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament concurred with the head of the mission that the mission's aspiration is for Allah to grant Ghana a leader who will restore the nation to its rightful place in the global community, commanding the respect it deserves.

He urged all political actors to endeavor to preserve the sanctity of such important religious events and uphold the integrity and peace of the country always.
