Renowned broadcaster and host of Peace FM’s "Kokrokoo" morning show, Kwame Sefa Kayi, has offered his insights into the recent press conference held by the Majority Caucus to refute reports of a leadership reshuffle within their ranks.

Last Wednesday, Sefa Kayi had hinted on his show about a possible change in the majority leadership, suggesting that Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, was set to become the new Majority Leader.

However, the Majority Caucus, led by First Deputy Speaker and Bekwai lawmaker, Joseph Osei Owusu, refuted these claims during a press conference, stating that there had been no changes in their leadership.

Commenting on the situation, Sefa Kayi inferred that the public denial and the medium chosen for the response indicate a misunderstanding between the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Majority Caucus.

"There is a crack, a big crack," said Mr. Sefa Kayi, suggesting that the lack of effective communication shows internal conflicts within the party.

He added, "Lack of communication shows cracks," he emphasized, noting that if there were no conflicts, there would have been more straightforward channels of communication.

Sefa Kayi highlighted the essence of Joseph Osei Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker, leading the press conference, emphasizing that he is not a novice in the political arena.

"Joe Osei Owusu is not a small boy. First Deputy Speaker, solid guy!" he exclaimed.
