Asante Akyem South NPP Youth Organizer attacks NPP Chairman during thanksgiving service for MP

The congregation of the Asaka branch of the Church of Pentecost in the Asante Akyem South Constituency of the Ashanti region were taken aback on Sunday, January 28, 2024 when the NPP Constituency Youth Organizer of the party, Simmon Agyeman went berserk like a bull in a Chinese shop.

He allegedly launched provoked attack on the Constituency chairman of the NPP Mr. Noah. Kyei during the church service.

The incident happened during the thanksgiving ceremony which was organized for the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon Kweku Asante Boateng who retained his position as the parliamentary candidate in the Saturday, January 27, 2024 parliamentary primaries of the NPP.

According to church sources, it all started when the Presiding Pastor took his turn to preach the gospel after the worship and praises session had ended.

It was reported that whilst the sermon was ongoing the Youth Organizer Simmon Agyeman allegedly wearing 'charlie wote' sandals, shorts and skin-tight shirt emerged from nowhere and suddenly attacked Chairman Noah.

The website gathered that the action of the Youth Organizer abruptly ended the program with both the church members, the Presiding Pastor and the invited guests quickly rushing down to rescue the innocent chairman.

The Youth Organizer Simmon Agyeman was unable to justify his attack on the NPP Chairman in the House of God when he was quizzed about his action.

The portal gathered that the Man of God and other church elders pleaded with Chairman Noah to forgive the NPP Youth Organizer to which he agreed.

"The Youth Organizer was lucky for the priesthood and politicians' timely interventions otherwise l will teach him some bitter lessons so far as the laws exist in the country," Chairman Kyei Noah told this reporter.

Mr Noah linked the Youth Organizer's hatred against him to his chairmanship role in the constituency and the support he enjoys from the MP Hon Kweku Asante Boateng that is making him jealous.

He said since the delegates of the Constituency voted him to lead the party, the Youth Organizer in collaboration with others have shown open hatred against him even to the extent of fighting him during constituency meetings.
