Former Deputy Minister under the erstwhile Mahama administration, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has opined that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia should not be pushing to become President of Ghana.

In his view, Bawumia's run for the Presidency is a test of our sanity as a people.

Ahead of the flagbearer election of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on November 4, Felix Kwakye Ofosu says the Vice President has been a horrible failure at managing the Country's economy.

The former Deputy Minister of Communications in his post on social media said, “Bawumia's run for the Presidency is a test of our sanity as a people. How can a man who has been such a horrible failure at the task of managing the economy even begin to habour hopes of being given the entire country to run?”

In another post, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has proven to be utterly hopeless in the way he has mismanaged the Ghanaian economy into its worst shape in decades.

The Vice President is a favourite to win the upcoming flagbearer election of the NPP.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is facing competition from Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, former Food and Agriculture Minister Dr. Owusu Akoto Afriyie and Francis Addai-Nimoh.
