The flag bearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has told party delegates in the Bono East Region to vote for him on November 4 primary to lead the party into 2024 presidential elections.

Dr Bawumia noted that he has been ordained by God to lead the party to victory in the coming general elections, saying God has used him in several ways including the formulation of many social interventions and policies to make Ghana a better place for all.

Dr Bawumia, speaking to delegates after a two-day tour of the Bono East Region over the weekend in Techiman the Bono East Regional Capital indicated that he was focused on introducing three policies that would compel the party to cater for members of the party for the sacrifices they made in bringing the party to power.

He hinted that among these policies is to give at least 10 appointments to party members at the constituency level and 20 appointments to party members at the regions to be part of government.

This initiative he noted will create a good relationship between the party members and government.

He also promises to establish welfare offices across the country to collect data on party members such as their needs so as to support them.

According to Dr Bawumia, he was more experienced and marketable when it came to winning elections. He noted that the major opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) fear him the most when it comes to elections since he has defeated the opposition party in four elections.

The flag bearer hopeful again hinted that his government would introduce more social interventions in the health sector as plans were far advanced to include “dialysis” to the National Health Insurance Scheme among other things.

Dr Bawumia said his government would continue to improve agriculture by supporting cashew and other crop farmers.

He mentioned that since education was the bedrock of national development, he is focused on sustaining and improving the Technical and Vocational Education Training across the country to encourage skills acquisition.

The Vice President received a ransom welcome by delegates and party faithful in all the constituencies he visited. He was accompanied by Dr Awudu Rauf, Fred Oware and Anthony Cabo among others.
