Lawyer Wonder Victor Kutor, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticized the government's style of running the affairs of the country.

According to Mr. Kutor, if precautions are not taken, the Ghana would collapse.

Speaking in an interview on TV3, he said “the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have been indisciplined, very very indiscipline.”

“The NPP has been indiscipline, very indiscipline. Not too long ago, Ghana National Petroleum Commission (GNPC) board chair Freddie Blay of GNPC attempted to sell Ghana shares in the Jubilee fields to Petro South Africa. Very indiscipline and let’s put this in proper perspective. The board chair of GNPC is the former National Chairman of the NPP that should tell you how this government thinks.

“At every attempt, they want to sell national resources. As we speak now they are going to sell Tema Oil Refinery (TOR). This is not a joke. They don’t even listen and I am happy that you played and listened to the video of Honorable Agyapong has said the mantra of Ghana beyond aid is now on a stretcher to International Monetary Fund (IMF), these were his words, not ours, they didn’t listen to us the NDC,” Victor Kutor stated.

Some Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) called for the Board Chair of the Ghana National Petroleum Authority (GNPC) Mr Freddie Blay to be sacked.

This follow reports and documents indicating that the GNPC plan to sell 50% stake in Jubilee Holdings Limited (JOHL) in a deal with a South African oil company, PetroSA.

However, the Board Chair Freddie Blay denied, saying, “the allegations surrounding the supposed “surreptitious,” “clandestine,” and “scandalous” sale of the “so-called” Ghana National Petroleum (GNPC) shares are “unequivocally false.”
