Govt Challenges Benjillo

GOVERNMENT IS completely dissatisfied with the recent court ruling in which it was ordered to pay billions of cedis to George Adu Bonsu, popularly known as Benjillo The office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice is therefore critically studying the judgment to file an appeal as soon as possible.

Hon. Kwame Osei-Prempeh, deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice disclosed this to journalists in Accra yesterday.

Hon. Osei-Prempeh, who was speaking at a press conference organised by the Majority to react to the Minority's Valentine's Day “True State of the Nation Address”, said Government would contest the ruling within the next three months.

He disclosed Government was not satisfied with the ruling because it believed there was an error in the judgment.
