Kevin Isaacs, a singer, and songwriter as well as the late Gregory Isaacs' son, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, on September 9, 1979. However, a little-known fact about Kevin is that he began singing at the age of 13 and recorded his debut song "Thought we were friends."

Nobody can stop reggae, as Lucky Dube famously sang. Damian, Ky-Mani, Julian, Ziggy, and Stephen, the female sisters, and grandchildren along are all continuing the musical legacy of the iconic reggae artist Bob Marley, while Denroy Morgan's children, "Morgan Heritage," and Andrew Tosh, the great Peter Tosh's son, also honor their father's contributions.

Kevin Isaacs, like his father Gregory Isaacs, has stormed the reggae scene with his soft-sweet, musical voice that continues to capture the heart of ladies and reggae fans all around the world.

Due to the dedication of their dads to the reggae industry, all of these children, including Kenyatta Hill, the son of Joseph "Culture" Hill, a notable reggae icon, have improved the entertainment value of the genre.

Therefore, it didn't surprise me when I read about Kevin Isaacs, and the fact that I got to meet and speak with his father, Gregory Isaacs, gave me the idea to find out what else Kevin had to offer in the music business and I was impressed.

The writer, Joel Savage, had the chance to meet Gregory Isaacs twice in Belgium

Kevin and his father both appeared on his self-titled debut album, which was released in 2000 on the Maritime Label. Additionally, Kevin has finished a solo album that he and his father co-wrote, produced, and included his dad providing background vocals on many tracks.

Kevin Isaacs has appeared on compilation albums like Inner City Roots by Joe Gibbs and Big People Music Vol. 12 by Jet Star. Additionally, he has produced the tracks "Revolutionist" and "Come on home," both of which have videos.

Kevin Isaacs recently produced "If you leave," "Red carpet," and his most recent hit, "Stand and fight," which was produced by Bobby Digital for his Kevin Isaacs Music Label, for which Kevin is the executive producer. His father, who is referred to in the reggae community as "The Cool Ruler" due to his cool rhythm composition and love songs, has a voice that is remarkably similar to his own.

Kevin has also performed on numerous tours with the reggae group Tallawah. I have carefully listened to his songs and quickly concluded that he has what it takes to succeed his father as a major celebrity. Like I twice met his father in Belgium, I hope to meet him one day.
