Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Savannah Region, Alhaji Iddrisu Sulemana popularly called Professor Kalamonia over the weekend, joined the Member of Parliament for Damongo constituency Abu Jinapor in gracing social events in the constituency.

The team first made a stop at Attributo, a suburb of Damongo where they graced the three-day funeral rites of the late Abubakari Fitter, a former polling station executive who was reportedly electrocuted to death on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 during a downpour.

An unspecified amount of money was donated by the team to the bereaved family and the wife of the deceased.

The team later attended naming ceremonies of other party members in the Damongo township and proceeded to Laribanga for an Islamic ceremony.

Prof. Kalamonia and his entourage later proceeded to the Daboya-Mankarigu constituency where they joined the Member of Parliament for the area, Alhaji Mahama Asei Seini in commiserating with the Electoral Area Coordinator for Mankarigu following the death of his father.

After commiserating with the family, the maverick politician and his team graced a marriage ceremony of one Iliasu, a party member also in the Mankarigu community.

The team together with the MP who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Health moved to Yagbon where party faithfuls were addressed on current happenings regarding development by the lawmaker and the government at both the constituency, regional and national level.

Prof. Kalamonia in his address encouraged the chiefs and people of the area to continue to pray for the government.

According to him, the NPP led government has done a lot to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians from employment, free SHS, roads construction, rural electrification amongst others.

He called on them to exercise patience and also ensure unity to help the party retain political power in 2024.
