International rugby delegation to visit Ghana

Accra, Aug 29, GNA - A three man delegation from the International Rugby Board (IRB) led by Mr Sas Bailey, the IRB Development Officer for English African countries will arrive in Accra on Monday for a week long working visit.

A statement signed by Mr Charles Aryeh, Head of Public Relations of the National Sports Council (NSC) said Mr Sailey who will be accompanied by two instructors would organise a three day Level Coaching and Refereeing Course for a number of selected Physical Education (P E) instructors in both government assisted and non-assisted second cycle schools in the Greater Accra Region.

The delegation will also call on Honourable Kwadjo Baah-Wieredu, Minister for Youth Education and Sports, his Deputies and the Acting Chief Executive of the NSC at the Ministry on Tuesday. They will on the same day call on the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

The Coaching Course for the PE instructors will be a follow up to the preliminary course organised by the Ghana Rugby Association in conjunction with students travel services Limited in August this year at the Accra sport Stadium

Schools expected to take part in the course are Ghana International School (GIS) French School, Faith Montessouri, SAA High School, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial School, Ghana Army Training School, Air Force training School and Police Training School.

The rest are Labone Secondary School, Accra Academy Secondary School, Amasaman Secondary School, Aquinas Secondary School, O'Reilly Secondary School, West Africa Secondary School, Accra High Secondary School, Soul Clinic International School. 29, Aug 03.
