Dr Kingsley Nyarko, the Executive Secretary of the National Accreditation Board, has defeated the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Kwadaso constituency, Mr Samui Kwadwo Nuamah, in the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primaries which took place today, Wednesday, 24 June 2020.
Dr Nyarko polled 172 while the incumbent MP had 158.
Another candidate, who is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development Authority, Mr Vincent Frimpong Manu, had 48 votes.
Over 40 sitting MPs have lost their ticket so far in the NPP primaries.
