Christ And Judaism -The Ignorance Of Teaching Mosaic Law In Christ

A Christian is not a Jew, and a Jew is not a Christian. No matter how Jews believe in Christ, the Jews cannot be Christians, neither can they abandon the Jewish worship and tradition. But a Christian who practices Judaism and follows the commandments and ordinances of the Old Covenant is ignorant and unlearned in God.

Christianity is not Judaism that should be practiced alongside the Jewish worship and practices. It is foolish and costly for any Christian to practice Judaism. There is the Judeo-Christian or "Judæo Christian" relationship, but Christianity and Judaism are two different practices which came from the same Abraham. Christianity is from Abraham just a Islam is from Abraham, but as we all know that Christianity is not Islam, so is Christianity not Judaism.

The Sharia laws of Islam are Mosaic laws. The Jews were the first to practice Sharia laws. The Scribes and the Pharisees, who were radical Jews, killed people who offended Moses’ law. They brought to Jesus a woman they caught in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they said “this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned ...”

Jesus answer to them was, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.”

He said to them further, “Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.” (John 8:3-9, 43-45)

The Jewish laws and practices contradict Christ. Christians do not practice Judaism because they are violent and racial and not the truth of God. The teachings of Christ are peace, unity and equality and the truth.

Paul was against the racial sentiments among the Jewish apostles, and said, “when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?” (Galatians 2:11-14)

Again, Judaism is not the truth of God. John the Baptist said, “the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” This was “the record of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, Who art thou?” (John 1:17-19)

Jesus did not abolish the Torah or the law of Moses and the Prophets, and said, they were until heaven and earth passed away. But then He said they were until John the Baptist, “since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.” (Luke 16:16-17)

Jesus did not abolish them for three main reasons; (1) to blind Israel and enable the Gentiles to be saved (Romans 11:8, 25), (2) to teach the Gentiles wisdom in the faith of Christ (2 Timothy 3:15) and (3) the salvation of Israel is neither by them nor by the Gospel, but by the election of their fathers (Romans 11:25-28).

The minds of isrsel were blinded by the Old Covenant doctrines: "for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; ... even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart." (2 Corinthians 3:14-15)

Jesus told the Jews, “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-19)

Paul clarified and said, “(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.” (Romans 11:8, 25)

He said to Timothy, “... from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

He explained further the salvation of Israel, and said, “... blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.” (Romans 11:25-28)

Abraham, who first received tithes and circumcision, was one of the prophets in the Old Testament. God told Abimelech, the king of the Philistines in a dream, when he took Sarah to his house, to “restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine. Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.” (Genesis 20:7-8)

But many of preachers today ignore that Abraham was a prophets, and argue that his practice of tithe was a revelation to Christians, thereby excluding him from "the law and the prophets" to achieve their motives and selfish interests. The practices by Moses and the prophets are not of the Kingdom of God and Christian practices.

Even though Judaism is in the Bible, it contradicts Christ and Christian principles. The Jewish doctrine is a snare, a trap and a stumbling block that causes the worshippers to trample and fall away from Christ. Paul said that any Christian who also justified oneself by the mosaic law had fallen from the grace in Christ.

He told the Christians in Galatia, “Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.” (Galatians 5:2, 4)

Circumcision is not just a deed, it is a Covenant, a doctrine and a worship of the Jews that came form Abraham. The Jewish people are called the Circumcision, while the heathens or the Gentiles in the world are referred to as Uncircumcision.

Paul said, “... when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.” (Galatians 2:7-9)

However, there are many biblically unlearned and ignorant preachers and churches today who think Christianity is Judaism and want to correlate the christian doctrine with that of Mosaic law and the prophets. Christ is higher than Judaism. Again, Christ is not given or preached to the Jews, but to the Gentiles. The Jews are not to be saved by the Gospel, but by their election.

The Apostle said, “without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16)

The Jews are not going to be saved by the Gospel, the Gentiles are. "... as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.” (Romans 11:26-28)

The Christian is more knowledgeable in the things of God, nobler and mightier in God than a Jew. The mystery of God that was hidden from ages and from generations is revealed to Christians, and not to Jews.

Paul said, “the word of God”, which he was preaching to the Gentiles, was “the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus”. (Colossians 1:25-28)

He told the Gentiles that he gave thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister”. (Colossians 1:12-13, 21-23)

The knowledge of Christians concerning the salvation and redemption of God is higher than the Jews. Christians know more about God than the Jews. Because God has hidden the knowledge about Him and the way of His salvation from Israel till when Christ returns, when their minds would be opened to know the Messiah, the Christ.

But until this time in God’s calendar, the children of Israel are blinded and could not see Jesus Christ as the Messiah or understand the truth in Him. The best of Christian Jews still atone for their sins every year by themselves and purify themselves from sins through rituals and offerings till today, disregarding the atonement and the sacrifices of Christ in His blood.

The Jews only know just a part of the knowledge of Christians. “(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day. And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway. I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.” (Romans 11:8-11)

The doctrine that was given to them was meant to blind and be a snare unto them for the sake of the Gentiles’ salvation.

David prophesied concerning Israel, how Israel would treat the Messiah, Who is David’s Son, and said, “Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap. Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake. Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents. For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded. Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” (Psalms 69:22-28)

Paul was quoting the words of David when he said,, “Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.” But he said, “I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.”

The doctrines of Moses has covered the memory of Israel “that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.” (2 Corinthians 3:13-16)

Consecrating Christians with “anointing oil” is a terrible ignorance. The “anointing oil” by Moses was a pharmaceutical compound. It was formulated according to a pharmaceutical order, it was not just olive oil. It contained principal spices such as myrrh, sweet cinnamon, sweet calamus and cassia dissolved in oil olive (Exodus 30:23-24). The apostles of Jesus used it only for its medicinal purpose, and not for any spiritual reason. The only two places where anointing oil was mentioned in connection with the apostles were for healing.

“... they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.” (Mark 6:12-13)

James said, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord”. (James 5:14)

The apostles did not anoint Matthias with anointing oil when they ordained him apostle. They prayed, and said, “Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, that he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place. And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.” (Acts 1:24-26)

The use of olive oil by Christians as spiritual solutions is a terrible ignorance that causes them to be cut off. God warmed Moses, “Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you. Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.” (Exodus 30:32-33)

The doctrine of the Gospel of Christ enlightens the ignorant and opens the eyes of those who are blinded by Judaism. Until today the minds of Israel are blinded: “for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”

Christians do not follow or practice the commandments of Moses and the instructions and practices of the prophets such as Abraham or Malachi. Christians are the offsprings of Abraham, but in the house of Abraham are two seeds; the seed that is of the law and the seed that is of faith in Christ.

The seed of the law are not heirs, they are slaves and are in bondage until today. But the seed of Christ are free, royals and heirs of God. We “have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear”; but “have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” The Spirit of God Himself “beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ ...” (Romans 8:15-17)

Paul said to the Christians in Galatia, who thought Christians were called to practice the law of Moses, like most Christians today, “Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.” (Galatians 4:21-25)

He said to them, “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth ... Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” (Galatians 3:1, 13-14)

He explained further that “when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:4-7)

He demanded from them if they received the Spirit of Adoption, Who set them free and made them children and heirs of God, through the deeds of mosaic law or by hearing of the faith in Christ Jesus.

He asked them, “This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (Galatians 3:2-5)

He told them to cast away Mount Sinai and the law, which he referred to as Hagar and Ismail, because the two would not inherit with the children of the free heavenly bride.

The apostle said, the “Jerusalem which now is”, “is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.” (Galatians 4:25-31)

There is no way to entertain Judaism in Christianity as a worship to practice by Christians. If any Christian does so, he or she can no more partake in Christ and is “fallen from grace”.

Christians, who disobey and continue in the Jewish doctrine and practices, and would not repent, can no more be redeemed. “For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” (Hebrews 6:4-6)
