2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) Best rapper of the year awardee, Eno Barony, has taken a swipe at the awards organizers for ignoring her nomination this year.

The "God is a Woman" crooner says she deserves to have been given nominations in four categories.

The "Only Jay" hitmaker said the song deserves to be given a nomination.

In a series of tweets on Monday, March 20, the songstress asserted that she will continue to shine despite the snub because no man can stop her shine, except God.

"Only Jay can stop my shine," she said in one post. She added in another, "I know you are also wondering why this song did not get any nomination." Hmmm #OnlyJah."

Eno listed some of the categories she believes should have been nominated for the "24th VGMA." My songs:

Despite her reputation for rapping, she collaborated on the Save Mama Today project with Stay Jay, FlowKing Stone, Dr. Cryme, and other notable artists. She was nominated for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards' inaugural "Unsung" category in 2014.

She performed at Ghana Music Week alongside Popcaan and Jah Vinci at the Accra Sports Stadium. She also performed at the Closeup festival with Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie.

She received nominations for Jigwe awards. At the 4Syte Music Video Awards, her collaboration with Togo's Mcee Mic Flammez was nominated for Best Hip-Hop Video.

She was nominated for the Jigwe Award for Best New Act the following year after running for Best Female Rapper. She performed at the Ghana Music Week Festival for the third year in a row in 2015.

She appeared at both the Ghana DJ Awards and the Ghana Freedom Concert (S Concert). That same year, she co-headlined the Joy FM Old School reunion with Stonebwoy and took part in Adom FM's Temafest with other artists.

She was appointed as the 2017 Ghana Meets Naija music commissioner. Nomination for Best Rapper at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2018. She won the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) for best female rap act in Africa in November 2020.

The 3 Music Awards Women's Brunch named her one of the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music in March 2021.

She became the first female artiste in Ghana to win the "Rapper of the Year" award at the 2021 3Music Awards.

She was the first Ghanaian female to win Best Rapper at the VGMA in 2021, beating out Sarkodie, Amerado, Medikal, Strongman, and Joey B.
