NCOGA Hosts Appreciation Luncheon For The Ghana Mission's Staff

By Mr. CNN/GHP/ncoga.org

The Ghana Mission in New York has done a lot for the Ghanaian community that is unrecognized because of its low key profile. It represents Ghana at the UN led by its well dignified leader, His Excellency, Nana Effah-Appenteng. It has been working closely with The National Council of Ghanaian Associations (NCOGA) for many years. It observed the smooth transition of NCOGA executives which is taking its work in the community to an impressive level. As a result of Ghana Mission's immense contribution to the community, NCOGA gave credit where credit is due.

On Friday, December 10, 2004 it feted the Ghana Mission and its staff. This was in appreciation of the ties between the mission and the Council over the last ten years. The newly appointed Board of Directors came to grace the occasion. His Excellency, Nana Effah-Apenteng, Ghana's Ambassador to the U.N. thanked the Council for the historic gesture and was lost with words when he entered the reception. He therefore noted that the Council's gesture will be remembered for a long time to come. He then introduced the mission staff to the guests. The members of the press present to cover the event were; Mr. CNN, Michael Osei of Dondoweb and Mr. Oko Nyaku.

The Council knows how to host a great party. The atmosphere, the food and the music were excellent. More grease to the elbows of NCOGA.
