Israeli Club Chasing Signature Of Hearts Of Oak Striker Joseph Esso

League Report Israeli Club Chasing Signature Of Hearts Of Oak Striker Joseph Esso
NOV 29, 2019 LISTEN

Accra Hearts of Oak striker Joseph Esso is being chased by Israeli top-flight side Ironi Ashdod, Modernghana Sports can report.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs poster boy has excelled since joining the Phobians a couple of years ago. In the past year, he has exhibited his quality in the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition as well as the 2019 WAFU tournament which was staged in Senegal.

In both tournaments, he excelled and managed to get some goals to help the various teams advance through the stages despite missing out on lifting any of the trophies.

Following those impressive performances, it is understood that Joseph Esso has attracted interest from Israeli Premier League club Ironi Ashdod who are looking to make an official bid for the striker when the January transfer opens.

The club is said to have monitored the Ghanaian during the WAFU tournament and are convinced he is the reinforcement they need to help them challenge for League triumph.

With Esso’s current contract with Accra Hearts of Oak running out, they risk losing the player if they do not succeed in extending his stay.

Talks between the management of the Ghana Premier League giants have reportedly stalled after the striker asked for double his current earnings. Nonetheless, negotiations are expected to continue to have the contract issues sorted out before the new season starts in late December.
