Ghana's Minister for Youth, Sports, and Culture, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiamah has through a post on his Facebook wall encouraged the Black Stars B team to demolish their counterpart from Burkina Faso when they lock horns this weekend in the qualifiers to the African Nations Championships (CHAN).

Ghana who is the defending champions of the WAFU Zone B championship is hoping to qualify for the 2020 CHAN tournament after missing out last two years.

The Stars face a daunting task in Burkina Faso who are coincidentally the same team that stopped Ghana from securing qualification to the last edition of the CHAN.

Ahead of the first leg of a crucial two-legged encounter, Hon. Isaac Asiamah has urged Coach Maxwell Konadu’s side to go all out and beat their opponent to ensure they go into the return leg with a huge advantage.

"I am encouraging you our ambassadors to go all out and ‘ demolish ‘ your opponents and make the 2nd leg a mere formality.

“I wish you well and assure you of the nation’s support God be with you.

“Black Stars, we shall win for you. God bless our homeland, Ghana”, Hon. Isaac Asiamah said in a post on his Facebook wall.

The Minister has also appealed to the general public to fill the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday to support the Black Stars B as they target recording a resounding victory.

“Once again, I am appealing and calling on the good people of our beloved country to be at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday 22nd September 2019 to support our home-based Black Stars as they play their Burkinabe counterparts in the first leg qualifier of African Nations Championships (CHAN)”.
