Asante Kotoko danger man Sogne Yacouba has returned to training today after he was declared fit to step onto the pitch by the medical staff of the Kumasi based club.
The 27-year-old has been missing in action for over a month but has finally received the medical green light to join his teammates. Communication Director for the Porcupine Warriors, Lawyer Sarfo Duku confirmed the news to Nhyira FM earlier today.
“Yacouba Sogne has been finally declared fit by the medical team of Asante Kotoko SC and he is available for selection if he fits into the coach’s tactics. Management expects him to start training today”, Lawyer Sarfo Duku said.
The club has now been handed a squad boost ahead of their clash against Bechem United as they look to return to the top of the Premier B standings of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) Special Competition.
It is now up to head coach CK Akonnor to decide whether to include him in his starting 11 in their next match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium or to gradually introduce him into the high-intensity competition in order not to risk injuring him again.
