Kumasi, Nov 27, GNA - Fabulous Ladies opened a nine point lead in the Ashanti Region Women's soccer league when they thrashed second-placed Oforikrom Ladies 5-1 in their 12th week encounter at the Wesley College Park in Kumasi on Saturday.
Two goals by Agnes Aduako in the 47th and 78th minutes and additional ones by Fatima Agyei, Amma Saabi and Sila Owusu in the fifth, 38th and 69th minutes respectively sealed victory for the Fabulous Ladies.
Oforikrom's Ruth Asante scored the consolation goal for her side in the 86th minute.
Fabulous Ladies by the victory now lead the league table with 28 points followed by Oforikrom Ladies at second position with 19 points. At the Bantama Methodist M/A School Park, Ash-Town Ladies spanked Envoys Ladies 3-0 in another match.
