Afriyie Acquah left Italy on Monday to join his Ghana squad for this weekend's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya in Nairobi.
The 26-year-old posed for a photo at the Malpensa Airport in Milan before flying out to join his international teammates in Ethiopia.
Acquah has been in top form this season as he has started in all three matches in the Serie A.
He joined Empoli on transfer deadline day but walked straight into the starting line-up.
Acquah will train with his teammates on Tuesday in Adis-Ababa to prepare for the match against the Harambee Stars.
He has been regular with the Black Stars since playing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil.
