The Youth and Sports Ministry have heaped praises on the Black Satellites for sealing qualification to the Africa Youth Championship in Niger next year.

The country's U-20 side drew 1-1 with their Benin counterparts on Sunday afternoon, ensuring they qualified on a 4-2 aggregate scoreline.

The home side took an early lead of the game through Bio Odo Chabi but Jimmy Cobblah's side came back strongly through WAFA midfielder Prosper Ahiabu five minutes to end the game.

The Black Satellites, who are two times African Champions failed to reach the last edition in Zambia two years ago hence missing the FIFA World Cup.

However, with qualification sealed, the team will now switch it's attention to qualifying for the World Cup.

Ghana joins Niger, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Mali, Nigeria, Senegal and South Africa for the Africa Youth Championship in Niger next year.
