Kwesi Nyantakyi picked one of CAF's two slots on the FIFA Executive Council, after he polled 31 votes on Thursday in Cairo.
Almamy Kabele Camara, the President of the Guinea Football Association, came top of the elections with 37 votes, with Kwesi Nyantakyi polling 31 votes to pip his closest competitor, Ahmad of Madagascar, the President of the Madagascar Football Association by just a vote
Augustin Senghor, the President of the Senegal Football Association, came last in the election.
By virtue of the results Almamy Kabele Camara and Kwesi Nyantakyi have been elected onto the FIFA Executive Council on the ticket of the Confederation of African Football (CAF)
